No Go
The service at Crowne Plaza Athens was absolutely not 5 star. Location was over-rated on the website. Though the hotel itself was quite lovely to look at, its more used for business travellers and they obviously received the priority. Pool is the size of a spa. Just not fitting for leisure. We didnt feel we got the value for money.

Within 3 blocks from Metro and a free lobby internet
Get a day pass for the Metro and always validate the first ride. Take the metro to the airport 6 Euros and validate. Stiff penalty if get caught and will definitely be checked.

Concern for the customer
I fell on the sidewalk while in Athens and hurt my arm. I went back to the hotel and the Front Office Manager went to great lengths to order first aid supplies and make sure I was taken care of immediately. The care and concern of the hotel staff in total continued until we checked out of the hotel. I have stayed in many, many hotels in my life and this was the absolute best hotel experience I’ve ever had.
