Great Nob Hill Hotel!!
My wife and I spent a weekend in San Fran and stayed in the Huntington Hotel, and it was a great hotel. The hotel was a little older than I think we were expecting, but, its not like it was falling apart by any means! The front desk and staff were very friendly. Lets face it, though, the location is the reason to stay at this hotel!!

Elegant gem on Nob Hill
The Huntington is a very elegant, quiet and refined hotel. Our room overlooked the park, with a glimpse of the bay beyond. The spa and pool are very sleek and modern, in contrast with the clubby 1800s feel and decor of the hotel lobby, bar, and dining room. The spa and pool make it surprisingly resort like in the middle of the city.
For gourmets, a trip across the bay to Chez Pannise in Berkeley is worth the the detour for a world-class dining experience. Try the upstairs Cafe - its an a-la-carte menu and is slightly more relaxed and informal than the downstairs restaurant which has a fixed menu that changes daily.
