A very strange experience
We were asked to show our passports when we arrived. Then, in order to buy internet access for 5 euro per day, a copy of a passport was needed. A Key with a very large heavy keychain was issued and needed to be turned into the front desk any time you wanted to leave the hotel. We arrived back from dinner at midnight and the gate to the parking area was closed and the doors to the hotel locked. It was necessary to knock and ask the hotel attendant to open the gate. My flight left early in the morning. The attendant sleeps in the dark lobby overnight and it was necessary to wake him in order to check out and get him to open the gate. There was no ice machine or refridgerator. We asked about ice and were given one small tray of ice cubes. The room was fine, nothing fancy but it was clean and close to the airport.

Not a comfort hotel, but is good for stay for a night.
It is easy to find and easy to get to the city center (railway station) by bus. It has parking and the breakfast is ok. The hotel itself looks like an office’s building converted to rooms, the rooms are clean. If it wasn’t Florence, I would say it is too expensive for quality.

Will not return
Stayed here our last night in Florence to be close to the airport. Not a great move. The room reeked of cigarette smoke and the walls were so thin you could hear every sound in the rooms on either side. Glad it was only for one night, couldn’t wait to get out of there.
