Stay At Jury’s Inn In August 2009
Hotel had several maintance problems. 1-Toilet does not flush every time,sometimes not at all. 2-Television did not work on all channel. 3-The last day of our stay there was no hot water for a shower. 4-One of the elevators appeared to need maintance because of excessive vibration.

Top-notch hotel!
I led a group of 16 students and eight other adults from NJ on a tour of London and Paris and this hotel surpassed my expectations. The service was courteous, the rooms, hallways and lobby immaculate and in addition to the great breakfast, the bar/restaurant was a friendly gathering place for both adults & kids well into the night. The only drawback was its distance from London center, which required a commuter train ride of about 20 minutes or a long bus ride from Heathrow. If one had heavy suitcases (as did my wife and daughter when they joined the group separately), it required a cab ride which cost 90 pounds with the meter running!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Take the Underground from Heathrow to Victoria Station, thence the train to East Croydon, but only if you are traveling lightly, as the Underground has many, many stairs. You can also take the X26 bus straight from the airport to the hotel, but it takes forever. There are many fast food places around the hotel and a small shopping mall across the street.
