Insider tip: Fans of Mozart won't want to miss the Bertramka Mozart Museum, about one kilometer west of andel's. Here, Mozart finished his opera Don Giovanni, which premiered in Prague - the museum has one of the pianos he used. During the summer, a chamber orchestra regularly performs Mozart pieces in the villa’s garden.

It has the latest running, rowing, step and cycling machines, as well as a separate mirrored room devoted to weights and body-building machines. Trainers can provide advice. Post-workout, guests take advantage of massage, solarium, sauna, and steam bath (surcharge for access to the health centre).

Conference rooms are lit by huge floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a shopping piazza below. Andel's Hotel Prague has 239 guestrooms, all of which are architect-designed and feature the latest technology. Rooms are decorated in strong reds, yellows, whites, and browns, with square suede armchairs matching chocolate brown bedspreads. Adjustable halogen lamps light the beds and glass desks, which are on wheels. All rooms have high-speed Internet access (surcharge) and DVD players. Bathrooms - decorated with colored and frosted glass - have hair dryers, separate showers and bathtubs, and heated flooring.

Delight - This wood-floored restaurant, lit by daylight from an internal atrium, serves breakfast from a glass buffet. Guests sit at bent chrome chairs upholstered in black, or on white leather in one of the restaurant's three private dining rooms.

Oscar's - Tiny cacti in bright red pots decorate frosted glass tables in andel's hip lobby-level bar and bistro, which serves drinks and snacks all day. A marble and plexiglass bar is backlit red, and bright red, suede chairs are divided by translucent gold curtains.

Nagoya - This a la carte restaurant offers Japanese cuisine, a sushi bar, and private rooms with tatami-style (mat) seating. Seats up to 60 guests.
