Well worth the trip!!

We stayed here before hopping on a cruise in Papeete. If you are doing the same thing, do what we did, either hop on the Moorea Express Ferry or take an Air Moorea plane from FAAA airport over to Moorea - it takes 10 minutes and cost us something like 40 bucks per person. The resort is beautiful. Great pool, nice rooms and bungalows, small but decent beach, good snorkeling and kayaking possibilities. The restaurant is somewhat expensive for meals, but so is everything in Tahiti. There is a local supermarket withing walking distance and some restaurants to go to. It’s a low key, beautiful resort. I spent a day in a "nice" hotel in Papeete after the cruise and there was no comparison. Moorea was so much more beautiful. I suspect the "Pearl" resorts on the Islands are way superior to the other big chains. I would recommend this to anyone and truthfully hope I can go there again

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

My advice to save money is to do the breakfast buffet but to make some sandwiches and stuff some fruit in you camera bag like we did, and there it is, lunch for later on/

Paradise on Earth

The Hotel was very enchanting and beautiful from the grounds to the staff. Locals were especially friendly and helpful along with the entire hotel staff. Rooms were sparkling clean and comfortable. Service was some of the best we have ever had. We will be back and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The reviews online that talk about bad service are BS. The staff and locals are friendly and treat people as they are treated. It was the best vacation destination ever. Thank you to the Pearl!!!!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

There is a grocery store and local Cafe within walking distance that can save you considerable money if you use them for breakfeast and lunch. Splurge for dinner at Rudy’s, it’s worth it and they will come pick you up. You can ask the front desk of the Pearl to arrange it for you.

Best Resort in Moorea

During our stay we visited all the resorts in Moorea, the Pearl is the smallest of the major resorts but is the best overall. It has the largest pool and most appealing bar and restaurant that surrounds it. We stayed at the overwater bugalow which is built on top of a coral reef that is shallow under the room then drops to deep water. We also stayed in a garden room with private pool which was also fantastic.

Traveler's tip on dining

Try Rudy’s, just 1/4 mile down the road, they have great steaks and try the stuffed parrot fish.
