Comfortable and inexpensive
We stayed in a room that had 2 queen beds and a fold out sofa bed, a kitchen with fridge, stove and oven. It was quite comfortable for my husband and my two teenaged children. However, during our stay, the fridge leaked some sort of fluid from underneath onto the kitchen floor in about a 3 ft radius around the fridge. I went to the office to let them know and I was given 3 towels and told I would have to take care of cleaning it up myself. Now, I understand that this is an inexpensive hotel, but there should have been some sort of housekeeping services set up to take care of the maintenance of the room. We will book another stay at this hotel, but I am not really happy about how this was handled.

Lanai Lodge
This was my 5th stay @ this hotel in over a 15 year period of time. The management has remained the same all these years. It is a very friendly, family owned hotel w/Santa Cruz charm. Plus the best part, Location, Location, Location!

Not child friendly!!! Wont go back!
Although the location of the hotel was great and the first room we stayed in was ok, it was like staying the night with overbearing relatives! I wasn’t allowed guests, not even during the day and they were constantly reminding me to keep my 7 year old daughter quiet, which was VERY insulting as she is a kid and a pretty good one at that! I have family and friends in Santa Cruz and they stopped by the room to say hi, not even 3 minutes after their arrival the front desk called me and told me my friends had to go!! I will never recommend this hotel or stay there again!
Not an accommodating hotel for children! The owners obviously don’t like being bothered by children and will remind you repeatedly to keep your children quiet during your stay!
