Enjoyable Experience
Me and my family stayed at this hotel to save money compared to prices of hotels in NY, it was very clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom updated, hotel staff nice/helpful, do not order the chinese food from a local delivery place, the food was nasty and the guy begged for a bigger tip and would not leave i had to shut door on him, DO take free shuttle to airport train station and from there pay $15 per person to ride train to new york penn station it is easy not too bad for price and it was a nice ride.

pleasantly surprised
The hotel room was huge, very clean and tidy and just what I needed after a long flight. Well worth the price I paid.

Dont try to find it at night!
We drove to the airport from D.C. and eventually arrived an hour and half later than we anticipated due to terrible driving directions from the hotel (which came via an automated message which I played over and over on my cell phone). When we eventually got to the the right side of the freeway the turn arounds were so poorly sign posted and the area in which the hotel sketchy, we were worried about what we were getting into. When we checked in there was a long line of grumpy people being helped by grumpy people. Our room was a two double room, which was a bit cramped for two adults and a teenager. The room had been redecorated, but either the bed frames were too small or the mattresses were too big for the bed because if one person sat anywhere near the edge of the bed the whole mattress flipped. Not as comical after it kept doing that every time someone sat down. Breakfast was like a shark frenzy. There were dozens of people trying to jockey for the last bagel, the non-existent fresh fruit and we didnt even arrive late for breakfast either. We decided to bring back what we managed to scrounge up (a bowl of plain oatmeal and half a smooshed croissant and two cups of awful coffee) to our room because there was no where to sit downstairs. You need to book yourself on the shuttle with the front desk and not just turn up at the shuttle when you want to leave because space is limited and you will have to wait for another 30 minutes until the shuttle "might" be able to take you.
I wouldnt venture too far from the hotel by yourself at night. The area around the hotel appears to be a disused industrial area and there were some unsavory people hanging around the area you have to drive through to get to the hotel. Kinda sketchy.
