Quite and peaceful
I was not impressed by the 100 yards of potholes I had to dodge to get to this motel but was pleasently surprised after I was inside. My room was clean and comfortable. The bed was firm but not harsh. The 19-inch TV had more channels than I needed. The bathroom was spotless. The A/C was not excessively noisy and worked OK. The best part was the location, close to the I-77 expressway but far enough away so sleep is not disturbed by the traffic. There is a cute country dinner only yards away that served a very good cheeseburger with mashed potatoes (real, I think) and gravy.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
This motel is midway between two cities, Beckley and Princeton. Both cities have rather pricy accommodations. The Knight’s Inn is reasonable in price and, if you want a peaceful, quite night’s rest, you might want to check this one out.

Not what we expected
This hotel had a smell in the hall the was unbelievable. It made my children run to and from the room as we arrived to go in or leave to go get something to eat. The smell was almost gone the day we were checking out. I don’t know if someone had cooked in their room or what it was a terrible smell. Overall all okay for a one nighter- not for extended stay.

Not impressed.
Although this was a clean hotel, it shared a parking lot with an adult bookstore. We felt unsafe based on the shady characters hanging out at the bookstore. I would not use this hotel again.
Do not take your family here. This hotel is next to an adult bookstore.
