Nice Place - Bad location
I would recommend this hotel if it were in a different location. The staff was nice and helpful. The neighborhood was not bad, just inconvenient. The Metro line closest to the hotel required multiple connections to get to the main sights in the city. If I had to do it again, I would spend a few more $$ and stay in a more central location.

Pretty Good Little Place
Great place to stay for a couple or individual on the go! The hotel is literally down the street from the Moulin Rouge and is about a 2 minute walk from the metro station. The clerks were very attentive at such a busy time during our stay. The hotel does have a lift, but in-between floors exist, so stairs to those rooms are narrow and steep. Important note, there is no alarm clock, or coffee pot but there is a safe, hair dryer, and phone. I would describe the room as "close quarters," but for an individual or couple it is enough to be liveable for a few days. The street contains a few bistros as well as a dry cleaners (for those on business).
Traveler's tip
The hotel clerk can reserve a bus shuttle to the airport at a very reasonable price for your return back home. The clerk also made taxi reservations for us as well.

Very close to metro station St.George, clean
I stayed at George Opera hotel for 1 week in August 2008. Convenient location close to metro/subway, walking distance to Place Pigalle and Moulin ROuge, nice and clean. Located on the green metro line, close to St-George station. Breakfast offered daily 7:30-10:30 for about 11 euros per person (August 2008), same food every day: croissants, cheese, boiled eggs, ham, yogourt, bread, butter, jelly, orange juice, tea, milk, coffee. Rooms are big enough for a Paris hotel, bathroom very clean and spacious, flat screen tv (small) mounted on the wall. Lots of local bars, internet cafes, grocery stores, pharmacies, affordable eating places in the area. I would select this hotel again for another stay in Paris.
