Close to Kings Island
We were pleased with the hotel and surroundings. It had a very nice pool--acceptable hot tub---nice game room and exercise center. One item that disappointed me was the transportation to the park. Since the Kings Island Resort isnt actually associated with the park, the bus was not permitted up close. It was great that we didnt have to pay to park, but we had to walk further to the pick up point than we would have if we just drove our own car. At the end of the day, the shorter walk would have been been appreciated.

Would Stay Again
The hotel wasnt a bad hotel. The first night we stayed in one room and the bed was really hard. The next day after we got up, I went down and asked the receptionist if all of their beds were hard as a rock. They offered to give us another room to try out the bed, because we were ready to go home. My husband has back problems and cant just sleep in any bed but I dont. I too thought the first rooms bed was hard as a rock. We did try another rooms bed and it was much better so we finished our stay. I thought the staff handled our problem very well and was very satisfied. The sports bar was nice and the food was really good. The hotel was very close to Kings Island which was a plus.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Kings Island is just down the road and The Beach Water Park is close by. There is also a lot of different dining options(ex: Ruby Tuesday, The Outback, Taco Bell, etc.) and a movie theatre close by.

Great for Kings Island visits.
The hotel has been around for a while but for the most part doesnt show all of its age. If your just looking for a place to stay in the area you might find a better hotel but if your going to Kings Island its ideal. Onsite bar is a nice place to hang out and has good pizza. The bar has an outside deck. The indoor pool is very large and the warmest Ive ever swam in. Large hot tub as well. Outdoor pool is average. The hotel complex is large with several separate buildings that are for the most part linked by indoor walkways. The hotel runs regular(15-20 minutes)free buses between hotel and Kings Island which saves $10 parking cost. Drivers offer park tips and are very friendly. Hotel offers discount park tickets. I find this hotel great for a family visiting Kings Island with a nice pool for the kids when the day is done, and an onsite bar for Mom and Dad. There is also a separate restaurant section as well. My only issue with my most recent visit was that the hotel was booked for conventions. Due to this the bar was closed to the public (2 nights out of a 3 night stay) which was disappointing for those who would like to stay on grounds and have a drink a the bar in the bar setting with the Pool table, games, TVs and general atmosphere. It may be good business for the hotel to lease out the bar for a private event but leaves the other guests a little put out. Overall Ive had a good experience(s) at this hotel.
