3rd Visit
This is a typical Mexican hotel: polite and friendly staff; clean & okay rooms (make sure you don’t get one in the back where the garbage is picked up); very near beach; go to main Canto del Sol (Villas Vallarta is part of Canto del Sol) for the food as is MUCH better there; very good buy for the $$
For great fun beach action, head for Los Muertos beach south of town (ride the local bus for 50 cents) and take your suit and towel. Lots of fun there and best people watching and funky eateries with wonderful food.

Not impressed
We went on our honeymoon to Villas Vallarta and I would not recommend it for anyone especially on your honeymoon.
