Excellent location
You really can’t beat the location. The room was exactly what we were looking for. Comfortable, clean, solid amenities, very centrally located for exploring Wellington - just about everything we wanted to visit, including the museum, was within easy walking distance. Only downside is that the Front Desk staff were either not very knowledgable or couldn’t be bothered to assist with recommendations or accurate directions, and there did not seem to be a concierge on staff. The concierge at the adjacent hotel was very friendly, however.

Very nice hotel and helpful staff
We stayed at this hotel for one night and the room was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room had many nice amenities. The staff was especiallly courteous and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel.

Comfortable, affordable room
Given its affordable price, Novotel delivered good value. The concierge was friendly and helpful: provided complimentary umbrellas, electrical outlet adapters, and solid advice on local sights and services. Beds were comfortable. Cappuccino, drinks, and dinner at the hotel bar & restaurant were all well-prepared, though I don’t recall the prices. Although it’s in the business district, shopping, restaurants and bars are all a short walk downhill - no need for your car in the city center.

The city’s museums are free, so enjoy them all.
