Location, location, location
The hotel is satisfactory, rooms are ok, not great, employees were very friendly. The main attraction is the great location, right on the beach, and within walking distance of some great restaurants.

needs TLC...great location
We just got back from Laguna and had a nice relaxing weekend. I didnt expect much after reading the reviews here...the location is great..just on the edge of the downtown area, within walking distance of places to eat and shop. A trolley runs for free all around town. It’s great since traffic & parking are horrible. We were very lucky to get a parking space at the hotel and really didnt want to lose it. It’s great for going to the beach...just down the steps..but the hotel is old..needs lots of revamping..esp the outside. small pool.no spa..but nice deck to look out on the ocean. Inside our room was ok. really needs new carpets.It was spacious and overlooked the pool..small swamp fan helped cool it off....Quirky things like we couldnt get extra pillows, the TP holder was missing..there was a coffee pot but no coffee or cups...and it could have been cleaner. Mostly it seems old and needs updating. You pay for the location and thats it. Staff was friendly but manager seemed tired of his job dealing with problems.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Use the trolley....dont expect a 5 star hotel..eat at the local coffee shops...

It is the place to go if in Laguna
The hotel is in the center of the town, and on the beach. Some of the rooms have a balcony overlooking the ocean and beach. From your room you can walk down to the beach. When we arrived at the hotel they could not find my reservation , and after showing my conformation, they upgraded our room to an ocean view suite , since the room we requested was not available.
