Great Location
The Marriot was a perfect choice for the Convention I attended in the Moscone Center. You cross the street through Yerba Gardens and youre there. It is centrally located to a variety of shopping and restaurants. You can ride BART from the Airport and get off at the Powell St. station, which is less than half a block from the hotel entrance. The Cable Car turn around is a block away and you can ride them to Fishermans Wharf. China Town is an easy 3 block walk.
If youre staying awhile and plan to ride the Cable Cars, buy a multi day pass. It will save you a lot in comparison to paying $5 each way per person.

This hotel ruined my vacation!
I was having a hard time deciding detween this hotel and the Westin. So I called up both hotels to get further information to help me decide. This hotel told me that they offered a free shuttle to local attractions and most importantly, to Candlestick Park (I was taking my boyfriend to the 49ers game-that was the whole purpose of the trip). I was also told that when we got to the airport that they offered a shuttle for $25 per person but recommended that I take the BART (which thankfully we did). The Westin did not offer any of that so althought the Marriott was more money I figured with the incentives it would be worth it. I WAS WRONG! When we got to the hotel the first thing I did was go to the concierges desk to get all the details and was looked at like I was an idiot. Everyone who worked at the hotel were the rudiest people I had ever dealt with. Very unhelpful and could care less about you. Turns out everything I was told was untrue and we were left with no transporation to the game on Sunday! It was a waste of my money to spend the extra on this hotel on top of the extras we had to pay since they did NOT provide any transportation. It completely ruined the weekend!
