everything was great except for the restaurant. service was average at best. My friend and i were both served coffee that was FULL of coffee grinds. It was disgusting. Food was terrible. Would stay at the hotel again......but not eat there.

Wonderful place to stay and we will stay there more often.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with everything about the hotel and the beauty of the room and surrounding cabins and landscape.

The Hotel was situated between Gatlingburg and Pigeon forge so there was so much to do and enjoy.

Misleading Location and poor layout

Do not trust directions found on hotel website, mapquest or google maps. They will lead you to believe location is in Gatlinburg. It is actually a few miles outside Gatlinburg across from Gatlinburg Welcome Center. Our room was dirty with hair on floor and a/c did not work. Took until 11pm before they could move us to another room. Also most rooms located in buildings on steep side of mountain with stairs to 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. Was not enough parking and had to park in narrow drive. Find some place in town of Gatlinburg and you will be more happy!

Nice place, beautiful rooms very comfortable beds the only thing is you can hear every thing the people next to you are doing even brushing their teeth otherwise would be prefect if it was taken care of

We arrived so frustrated, being unable to find the hotel. They were friendly and seemed to say all the right things to make us feel at home. We have already recomended this hotel to others,and of corse told them how to get there easily.

Best of the Smokeys

This hotel is central to everything. close to Downtown gatlingburg, and close to Pigeon forge. It has a rustic mountain look to it . But everything is very modern and in style. All the units are on the side of the mountain so be prepared to walk up hill alot or wait for the shuttle that they run all over the resort. The outdoor pool is small but nice. The indoor water park is an extra charge and can be exspensive ir you have a large family. This would be my first choice always when coming to Gatlinburg

This resort area has everything you can imagine for kids to do. From hiking and exploring the smokey mountains ,to Dollywood amusement park. Be prepared for very limited parking down town and it cost to park.

Great hotel for travelers with children

Grand hotel. Very helpful staff. The only complaint, the walls are very thin on adjoining rooms. This would be great for families travelling together. But with loud strangers next door, not so great

Much to do on site for children, and with on site store and restaurants, you could spend your entire vacation at this resort.

It was a pretty nice place overall. The only complaint I would make is that the walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you. Don’t plan on sleeping in too late.

Great Resort

When our family goes on vacation we always stay in condo type rooms. This resort was wonderful, and the scenery was great. You are only a few minuted away from the main street of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There are no complaints here.

Very nice stay at west gate

We check in the west gate very fast and was greeted very well I ask the person for a room with a good view and recieved a very nice room with view I was kind of worried about the other reviews some had said the staff was not helpful but we had no problems with the staff they did not ask us anything about a time share or bug us in any way the first day we check in they called us and ask how was the room and was everthing ok and beside that I did not here or need anything from the staff. We had a very nice stay we had a one bed room it had a king bed with jetted tub very nice also it had two bath rooms, full kitchen with gas log fire place the deck out side or room was about 8 by 20 ft deck very nice with a table.

trolly comes to the hotel very short trip into gatlinburg don’t have to pay for parking or worry about parking in gatlinburg.

It was ok hard to find our room

They need to include the water park , at least 1 time complementary , or at least discount it . they advertise water park but it cost alot to enter it !!!

Really nice & the rooms are very large & comfortable

The hotel was really nice and clean. The employees very helpful. The only problem I saw was the pool in the water park was a little dirty. There is a fee for everything and they don’t tell you about it, you are expected to read and learn that yourself.

Beautiful View!!!

It was very nice except there was an odor in that condo. They could not put us in another condo. The sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable for the kids. The help was very friendly, the veiw was spectacular.

The hotel room was very clean and had just about everything one would need. My only complaint is that I called the front desk to ask about staying an extra night and instead of extending the special nightly rate, they were going to charge me full rate. We didn’t stay an extra night. Beautiful view from room.

Maybe a Great Price but Think Again

First off, understand this is a room in a time-share "resort" in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. It has been carved into a large hill as several smaller buildings and these rooms are in the back of the complex. We parked on a 40 degree incline and walked up steep hill to our room. Heaven forbid you go out later in the day and forfeit your parking space because there isn’t enough parking if the resort is at even 1/2 filled capacity. Walls are paper thin. The door to our unit was next to a connector hallway to the unit behind ours. At 12:30 in the morning the other guests were slamming that door repeatedly and we could hear a blender being used. We bought a "sampler pack" from another time share tour(great facility) that faltered in the current economy so Westgate swooped in and bought our week, but now we have to use it at this facility or lose money that the very expensive sampler week cost. I’m am begrudingly going to use it at this resort, but I am not going to be happy about it.

Westgate is a wonderfull place to visit and stay the view is breath taking.

You can go 20 miles in either direction and have a very nice time. In both towns pigeonforge & Gatlinburg.
