Will definitely call again
The Apollo Art was a great hotel. Clean, large (by Euro standards) rooms with big windows that open and views of a pastoral park. The restaurant is good, if a bit overpriced (thats typical of hotels). They offer taxi vouchers for 14EUR roundtrip to the city center. This was very convenient. Well definitely stay here the next time were in Brugge.

Ideal place to rest
The hotel staff was extremely helpful and polite. It was a plessure staying there. Locationwise, its a bit far from the town center but only a few minutes away by taxi.

Good value near Bruges
The young lady at the front desk was very quick and helpful and provided us with a crib for our son within an hour of our arrival. The continental breakfast was about 14 euros, so we skipped it, figuring we would pick something up in Bruges for less. We did eat in Bruges, but it wasnt any cheaper. The rooms are very Scandinavian. They have wood floors and very spare decor. There are duvets and very thin mattresses on the beds. I found them very comfortable but my wife had a hard time with them, so to speak. The wood floors were good because they could be cleaned more thoroughly than a carpet. The duvets were thick and soft, but they had a very fine coat of dark blue lint, like someone made a mistake in the laundry. The bathroom was OK, except that they had the same ridiculous small shower door that Ive seen all over Europe. When you shower, water sprays all over the place. Also, since we had a sleeping baby in the room, we noticed that we could very clearly hear when one of us used the sink. Unlike the duvets, the bath towels were not soft and fluffy. They were a little thinner and scratchier than I would have liked. Also, no washcloth and no bar soap or shampoo, just shower gel. Overall, I got the sense that the hotel was about 10 years old and about 3 years from needing a renovation. It was nice, but not as nice as it used to be. But it was the second cheapest hotel on Expedia and that more than made up for it. An excellent value.
