affordable and basic
clean but spartan rooms. some staff helpful, others less so. a little noisy and slightly off the beaten track but easy to get around from U-bahn

Nicely maintained, good breakfast
The rooms are fairly large (nearly American-large), and each room has its very own wash basin, toilet and shower - great! The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean, the beds were comfortable, clean and decently sized. There isnt free Wi-Fi (they had the pay-to-play TMobile that is ubiquitous in Germany), but there was a free Internet-connected computer in the lobby for guests to use. Breakfast was good, if a little expensive. It was your basic German breakfast - a selection of juices, cereal, sliced meats and cheeses, jams, etc. The hotel is conveniently located next to several cheap Turkish and Indian restaurants, and the front desk accepts outgoing postmail.
