Million $ View -- We Will Return!

What can I say? Leinaala exceeded our expectations. We stayed in Unit 203 which is a one bedroom condo w/ a sleeper sofa that sleeps two. Now, the only negative thing I can say about the unit was that it needed some care; a bath fixture did break and the couch needed a good cleaning....other than that...this place was AMAZING! Close to Kihei shops, great restaurants, beautiful beaches and the highlight....a spectacular view....better than what guests at the Grand Wailea and Ritz are paying for. Paula and Bill, the property manager’s, were so friendly and helpful (we arrived at the brink of Tropical Storm Felicia -- she missed us though -- sunny and gorgeous all week). They provided us with everything we needed and then some. Bill also does a wonderful job keeping the condo grounds looking picturesque and beautiful. Our family wants to return and we’ll only stay at the Leinaala. I also saw a picture of unit 204 which is very modern, clean and highly recommended too. If this is your first time traveling to Maui, I recommend three things to do: 1. Check out the Old Lahaina Luau, a little spendy but the service and entertainment are well worth it. 2. Snorkel at Molokini & the Turtle Arches by booking your trip with the Pacific Whale Foundation, all proceeds go to ocean environment education and saving marine life. Their crew was knowledgeable and hospitable. 3. The Road to Hana -- get up early and drive this scenic and untouched route. Aloha & Mahalo!!

Great Location, Very Run-Down Room

I knew staying at this condo would be pretty much 50/50 after reading the reviews and decided to take a chance anyway. These are individually owned and some have been updated, others have not. Ours was not - the A/C did not work properly and we were uncomfortable the entire stay, the mattresses (both bedroom and sofa) were worn down completely, the floors were filthy, and the towels and sheets were completely threadbare. We tried to switch condos, but were told they were sold out. There is absolutely NO cleaning service during your stay. If you plan on more than a few days, plan on laundering the towels they provide at your own expense and cleaning up after yourself. That said, I have to say that the on-site property managers are fantastic! They went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable.

Traveler's tip

This condo is located in a very quiet neighborhood. We came directly from a stay on Waikiki Beach and this was a world of difference. If you are looking for quiet and serene and want go to bed by 8:00, this is for you!

ask for one of the remodeled rooms

We had a beautiful view. We just happen to be in the condo with zero updates. Room was hot and dirty. The floor mats were dingy and lots of hair, same in the bathroom. My first day there I had to clean the condo to feel comfortable.

apply sunscreen every 30 to 45 minutes
