Homesick already!!

First of all, google search the resort and visit their website to get a better idea of what it looks like! The resort was just beautiful and the staff couldn’t have been more wonderful! I was apprehensive at first because in my experience a hotel room never looks in person like it looks in the brochure or on the website. Not the case with the Hibiscus! When we opened the door i saw exactly what I was expecting to see plus some! The room was so warm and inviting and comfortable! And the view was out of this world! I’ve always been one to sleep in, but I couldn’t wait to wake up every morning to step out on our patio and watch the ocean (literally 20 steps away)while enjoying a great cup of coffee. We ate at many different restaurants while we were on St. Croix and can say without hesitation that H2O was by far one of the best. The food and service were phenomenal! In fact everything in St. Croix was phenomenal. Leaving our last day was a deeply emotional experience. We felt like we were leaving pieces of ourselves behind. We’ve been back in "the real world" for a little over a month now and still desperately miss everything about St. Croix. Don’t be surprised to see us there on a permanent basis in the not so distant future!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Rent a car. We took taxis and while it was cheaper than renting a car, we were limited on what we could do. Go to Buck Island! If you are not faint of heart, go on the Tan-Tan Tour! It is an amazing experience! Plus it’s probably the only way you’ll see the tide pools and you absolutely do not want to miss them! We did save a little money by having sandwich supplies and some bevereges in the fridge for lunch on our "beach days" when we didn’t go into town

Like a post card!!!

I went with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed it!! It was a bit far from everything, but I guess closer than other hotels. The service at the hotel was excellent and the food at H2O was GREAT!!!

Traveler's tip

I would recommend renting a car becuase things are not close and we must have spent around $200 in cabs and we were only there for 4 days!!!

We had a great time!

We had a great time at the Hibiscus. The Operations Manager Marc was fabulous! The rooms are beautiful and right on the beach. The staff were wonderful. You will definately have a great time at the Hibiscus.

Traveler's tip on dining

The food is very expensive on the island, and not all of it is worth it. Elizabeth’s has a great Sunday brunch buffet for $25/pp. Another great restaurant is Bacchus in Christenstead-you will not be dissapointed!
