Served its’ purpose for us as a crash pad to get a few hours of sleep between a 13 hour layover.
No frills. Limited internet access in small lobby.

Affordable gem
I chose the Deira because several other single women travelers indicated they felt safe there. And I heartily agree! The kind staff even accomodated me with early check in (9 am vs. 3 pm) so I could go ahead and experience the city. Clean, spacious room - kitchenette with plates and utensils, nice bathroom - I wanted to take a bath. Bed was firm and I enjoyed it, so it was probably too firm for most others. I was only there one night, but would have stayed longer. It was a nice walk to the Souks and the Creek, though I am a walker. The neighborhood was not particularly attractive, but much of Dubai was under construction when I was there. There is also not much for retail around the hotel. But if you are looking for affordable, clean accomodations and don’t need high end amenities, you likely won’t be disappointed.
