Bora Bora Vacation
Hotel was gorgeous and well-maintained. Staff frequently greeted us by name, even though we were only there 5 nights. Highly recommend staying in an overwater bungalow - snorkeling off bungalow was excellent. I disagree with other traveler who complained about Hobie cat - while a staff member does need to take you out (reasonable, considering they dont know who is capable of sailing it!), the staff member took us way out, close to the reef. Only downfall to hotel was housekeeping - they did a good job cleaning things tracked in, however, we had to request clean glasses for 3 days before they finally brought them! We stayed at an Intercontinental our last night in Papeete, it didnt even compare and just left us missing this hotel (and Bora Bora!).

So so
We were there for 12 nights. The beds are very comfortable. The condition of our rooms and other guests we visited with was not nearly perfect. The thin fabric canopy over the bed was torn in several places. The hardwood floor had many gouges. The glass doors to the deck were very hard to copen/close. Most windows were missing screens (big prob for mosquitos and lizzards if not overwater). Air conditioner noisy and not able to keep room very cool. Cleaning staff very inconsistent if time and thoroughness. Resturaunts VERY expensive and food not very good. Also, evrything is closed down by 9pm. They charge 500xpf an hour for in-room internet. The free internet workstations were old, virus-ladden, very slow and quirky! You had to be escorted by the beach staff to use the hobie cat, and had to stay right in front of the hotel. That said, the snorkling right off the beach was fantastic. The reception area had a fish viewing area that was like a huge aquarium viewed from above, tons of trobical fish hanging out all the time. Theres a moray eel who makes his home right off the boat shuttle dock. And the staff is very friendly.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The hotel charges 6,500 xfp per person for a shuttle from the airport. It may be worth it if you have a lot of luggage. If not, you can take the shuttle boat from the airport to Vaitape and then go to the Robert Wan showroom on the south end of town and catch the free hotel shuttle boat to the hotel. At the time of this writing, that would save $160 US dollars! Also, even thought the food isnt that great, the Bora Bora Nuis beach resturaunt has an economical (by comparison) brunch thats OK.
