Nice place to stay; a little dated
The hotel staff was excellent for the most part. The exception was the time it took for housekeeping to respond to my repeated request for an iron and board. Also, the weekend host I spoke with gouged me a little on pricing for a driver (I think he may have recommended his friend). PLease verify the costs at each step of the way. The hotel allowed me to stay in my room for an extended period of time the day of check-out, and was extremely helpful in making alternate travel arrangements.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Golf course next door is a little rough, but also cheap. Collared shirts are a must.

Good Business Hotel
The hotel caters to business, and serves its purpose. The food is only average, or below average. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Service at the front desk is extremely slow. Staff is friendly. There are very few business class hotels in Dar, and for the time being, this is a good choice

Good, clean and reliable
We found this hotel very good value for money. Staff are friendly, premises are clean and well maintained, food is good and they have excellent massage ( rejuvenating after a Kilimandjaro trek!). Also, the location is excellent making everything within reach.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Have dinner at the Sea Cliff. Fabulous crab and lobster platter! Take a taxi from the Movenpick and ask the driver to pick you up at an agreed time. Should be 20 USD return.

Good place to stay
Good option for business, convenience and comfort - guy checking the mini bar may try and wake you up each morning at 7.00 if you don’t put the DO NOT DISTURB on door though. Staff friendly - very relaxed.

Very nice
spacious, clean and accommodating. Stored luggage free for a week while on safari for a party of 10.
