Spacious, good value for the money
This is a self-catering accomodation, not a hotel per se. It was well-equipped, with better kitchen and cleaning equipment (including washer and dryer, etc.) than other self-catering places we stayed at in CT, but the sitting room had a dirty couch and the carpet was stained/well-worn. The bedrooms were fine and the master bathroom was huge. Overall its a good place with good security, very close to V&A waterfront, and Id recommend it for families with young kids looking for a more relaxed setting.

Perfect
After a little effort to get into our room, due to the size and security of the hotel you need to be met at different points and signed in/shown through, our stay was excellent. The room, a one bedroom appartment, was spacious, fully contained and had the most incredible view of table mountain out the bedroom and a lovely view of the canals out the front. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the V&A Waterfront and we felt very safe walking back after dark each night. Will definately be staying here again.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The V&A Waterfront has 2 supermarkets and the appartment has a full kitchen, so stock up some goodies and dine in sometimes.

Wish I was there right now
This place is amazing! It is the same price as a small hotel room (granted I was there in winter - July) but you get 2 bedrooms (even though I only paid for 1), a washer and dryer, living room, office space, full kitchen, balcony, and its all brand new and total luxury! The staff and cleaning ladies are all very nice. Your room is cleaned every day and they even do the dishes. You also get access to the swimming pools and other facilities. The annoying thing was that each guest has to have an access card to get onto the premises which took the security people a long time to activate and then one of the cards didnt even work. Overall, I wish I was still at the Waterfront Village and one day would like to live here. Cape Town is awesome and this is definitely the place to stay!
