Great place
Cascade Village is a great place in the mountains to stay. It was very neat and clean and all kitchen utensils were there because we like to cook in a few nights! We got clean towels everyday! The view from the balcony and everywhere around was breathtaking!! Very few people were there this time of year, so it was very quiet. We would stay there again and it was a great price too! There is plenty of hiking, sightseeing and restaurants to go nearby!

Nice room good location
This was a very nice condo with a good location. During August it was in the 90s in Durango so it was nice to be up in the mountains at this resort where the temp stayed about 77 during the day and in the 50s at night. The room had everything we needed and for a family of 4 it was comfortable. The only slight problem was the mornings. If you tried to sleep late the crows would wake you up and some neighbors had dogs. Otherwise the room was comfortable and the setting was very good. The location was good because it was a short trip to Silverton & Ouray and we loved these towns. We would stay again.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
When you stay at Cascade you get to use the facilities at Purgatory resort. We used this quite a bit because the pool and hot tub were great. There are also many fun things to do at this resort. Also go to the hot springs in Ouray they are great. We also went to Telluride which is not far from Ouray, they have free gondola rides and the hiking is wonderful.

Comfortable
The condos that we stayed in were large and comfortable. We were upgraded to a larger condo upon check in. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. The only negative was that there was no air conditioning - so that the afternoons in the condo were a little warm. With windows open, it was plenty cool by early evening. Cascade Village was well kept and Durango Mountain Resort was very close. Good place for the $$.
