Fabulous Hotel
We stayed here the last few days of our 2 week trip and what a way to spoil yourself! This is a fabulous hotel that is situated off the main street but yet within walking distance to Vatican City, Coloseum, several churches and great shopping and restaurants. There is a wonderful rooftop lounge where you can end your evenings. Very attentive staff and very clean rooms. The breakfast was wonderful. Would definitely recommend the hop-on-hop-off bus. We would most defintely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Excellent 5 star hotel
We loved this hotel. Wonderful location near the river on a quiet street. The Vatican City was only a 10 minute walk away. The room was near the elevator, but very sound proof. Good size room, comfortable beds, great shower with rainfall and shower wand, cleaned daily, excellent air conditioning. Good internet connection and they even lent us an electrical adaptor since we didnt have one. Staff was very accomodating and breakfast was superb. Since we checked in before the room was ready, they stored our luggage while we toured the city and when we returned the luggage had been delivered to the room. It would have been nice if they had opened the roof top bar, but since it was cloudy they closed it even though it didnt rain.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We bought a Hop On Hop off bus ticket from the hotel, very convenient. When we went to the Colosseum, we bought a ticket/tour from a vendor outside, which save us money, we skipped the line, and got an informative tour. "Skip the Line at the Vatican Tour" through Expedia was fantastic! Nicest part was there were no pick pockets in Rome this visit to bother us. You will find wonderful restaurants behind the Piazza Nuova which is near the hotel. Try La Danesina on Via Del Governo Vecchio.

Follow the Tiber River south and cross Ponte Sisto to Piazza Trilussa. Eat at the Taverna Trilussa for delicious food and local atmosphere.
