A Fine Budget Hotel
Good clean budget hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms a bit small, but not a problem for those who just want adequate comfortable beds and modern bathroom/shower facilities. Breakfast adequate.

Less than 1 star hotel...
This hotel was simply awful. I was there the third week of May and it was really hot. There was no air conditioner in the room. We had to sleep with the window open and with the noises from the street we could not sleep well. The room was really small and you barely have space to walk in it. The bed was pushed against the wall. There was small closet that was all dusty inside. I could not hang any of my clothes in that closet. The only good thing was the bathroom, that was kept very clean and they also provided a very modern computer/TV in the room, but they did not have any English or Spanish channels, all the channels were in French. Overall, it was a very unpleasant stay, which probably influenced our dislike for Lyon city.

Great value for the money
We stay at Hotel Du Simplon at the end of April. Great place tuck away from all the heavy traffic. Our room was spotless. Yes, the bathroom is tiny but it serves it purpose. We were traveling with a small child and they were very accomodating. Don’t get fool by the low price the place is worth more than what they are charging. Our room had been updated and the bed was great.
