This hotel was a great value for a low price. My wife and I visited from Phoenix to attend the Warriors vs. Suns NBA Outdoor game at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The location was great, right next to The River, restaurant row. We totally enjoyed our weekend here and will probably return next year for the Outdoor game. The Hilton Garden was great from top to bottom.

Enjoyable stay!

We stayed here over Labor Day Weekend. The hotel front desk staff was friendly and professional. The night before our departure, we had difficulty printing out our boarding passes in the business facility, so the front desk person was kind enough to print them out for us during the night and place them underneath our door as we had an early morning flight. The lady serving breakfast was also friendly and helpful. All in all, we were very impressed with the quality of the facility, the room, and staff. We had a very enjoyable stay and the hotel location is perfect if you want to be away from all the tourists, but close enough to all the attractions. We would definitely stay here again. Rancho Mirage is lovely!

The Rivers entertainment complex is a block away and has many nice restaurants. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is a must do!

The fact that it was also one of the least expensive was a cherry on the sundae. The hotel is obviously run by a very conscientious management team. Don’t be concerned about pre-paying for a lower rate. You won’t be disappointed.

Super Relaxing!

I went in July 2009 and it was extremely clean, comfortable. The staff was very attentive. I would defenitely stay here again!

CONVENIENT LOCATION AND WOULD STAY AGAIN

HOTEL IS EXTREMELY CONVENIENT TO SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS . ACROSS THE STREET IS A THEATER AND MINI MALL , LOTS OF NICE PLACES TO EAT TOO. THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND WAS VERRY HAPPY WITH THE AMENITIES PROVIDED IN ROOM. WE HAD AN IRONING BOARD,IRON, EXTRA BLANKET,TOILETRIES, VERY NICE. IT WASNT NOISY AT ALL.. AND POOL WAS NICE. FREE PARKING . I WOULD STAY AGAIN .

Very Good Value

Very nice hotel for a weekend in the desert. Location is excellent, very convenient to shopping and dining. Hotel staff very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Air conditioning in room is very noisy. With temps over 100, pool was cloudy and uninviting. Pool service was "working on it". For 4th of July weekend, price was unbelievable!

Very comfortble hotel.

We are a regular visitor to this hotel. We enjoy the amenities of the hotel and the proximity to the The River for good dining and movies. Very nice locale. The only downside is the pool water is always cloudy.

Great Hotel to Relax

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I came here to get out of the city to relax and it was great. And you can do a little shopping right across the street!!!!!!!

Great smaller hotel

We liked the smaller size of this hotel for our weekend getaway. Two floor hotel with a decent pool and small hot tub. The lobby folks were always friendly and helpful-great food recommendations and good at giving directions.

Excellent hotel for a stay in Palm Springs area

I loved this hotel, the swimming pool, the rooms, etc.. Evrything was fine, except air conditionning which was a bit noisy! I really recommend it anyway.

Do it in July/August during shool holidays, the rates are extremely low

Would stay there again

I stayed at this hotel during a meditation retreat that was going on at another hotel / resort. I didn’t want to stay at the more expensive hotel that my retreat was taking place in so I shopped around for something only a few minutes away and less expensive. I probably saved $250 by staying here instead. And it was much nicer than I imagined it would be. The beds were extremely comfortable, more so than many other hotels. Everthing was pretty much clean and in good condition. Nothing seemed old, funky, or run down. The staff was friendly and the breakfast options were of much higher quality than other cheaper hotels. It was all better than I expected. I would definitely stay here again.

There are tons of restaurants all within a few minutes and every single one we tried was very good and reasonably priced. There is also a Trader Joe’s only 5 minutes or so away.

Not at all Impressed

very noisy specially pool side rooms didn’t see any employee at the pool side towels were all used no one at the pool side to provide. No room service? it was just not convienent

Would book again

Hotel is centrally located on Hwy 111 and walking distance to The River shopping and restaurants. I arrived 5 hours earlier than the 4pm check in. I just wanted to check in my bags but was greeted warmly and given my room then. Hotel is very nice. Rooms were large, bed was comfy, grounds well kept up. Very pleased with all of it and would definately book here again.

Excellent quality, good value for the price

This is a very nice hotel with excellent service. The room and grounds were very clean. The only complaint is the air conditioning was very loud. This can be forgiven in a place where summer temperatures of 115 are routine. Better to have a big beefy air conditioner than an underpowered one. Overall this is a great hotel.

All But the Pool

I just assumed the Hilton swimming pool would be heated. Much to our chagrin it wasn’t, and when I asked the clerk about it, he said: "its heated to 80 degrees, it just seems cold when you’re going from the hot tub into the pool. Also its really hot outside and that makes the water seem colder." Actually, my wife and I didn’t take advantage of the hot tub; we only tried to use the pool in the evening - so, the sun wasn’t a factor, and the water was very cold, too cold to enter. I’m not bothered by the Hilton telling me they don’t have a heated pool. Its my fault if I know that and still book with them (I won’t again.) What bothers me is a clerk deliberately telling me the pool is heated to 80 degrees when it patently is not - and then making up a bunch of lies about why the water feels cold to me. I’m not paying for that. I’m paying for I and my family to have a pleasant vacation and for my hotel to facilitate that experience, not be an obstacle to it. I don’t know which hotels in Rancho Mirage / Palm Springs have heated pools - I will definitely find out before the next visit.

If your family swims, avoid the Hilton Garden Inn at Rancho Mirage. The Hilton doesn’t heat their swimming pool, and when you enquire about it they’ll make suggestions about why the water must feel cold to you (instead of just turning up the heat.) One to be avoided.

An excellent hotel, in an excellent location (easy access to restaurants & shopping),with fine service, including a restaurant on-site for breakfast. We were very pleased.

Convenient to Everything....

The Hilton Garden Suites are convenient to two malls - the River (next door) and Westfield (about 3 miles away) as well as eating establishments such as Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, and Flemings Steak House. Also an easy drive to El Paseo, the finest of fine shopping street in Rancho Mirage. There’s a kennel very close. It’s not but about a five minute drive to the dog park. The Hilton Garden Suites’ restaurant is an excellent place to eat a good morning breakfast. Pancakes especially good. And Starbucks coffee adds a zing of caffeine to start your day.

If you’re going to eat at Cheesecake Factory, or PF Changs or even go to the movies next to the Hilton, it is best to walk over. The parking lot at night is filled to capacity and will cause wear and tear on your nerves if you drive over.

Over priced and over rated!

Very convenient and comfortable hotel. We had a small room. The staff was very cordial & friendly.

Grounds were clean. Very small restaurant, however, close to many other restaurants and shopping. Nice pool. Wonderful down pillows and quilt.

The "River" restaurant and shopping area is right next door. A pleasant place to spend your time eating with many large chain restaurants and some shopping boutiques.

Nice Option for the Desert

This is great room for a family of five. You can get 2 queens plus couch that folds in to a twin bed. Does have microwave and refrigerator. Bathroom is fine if your kids are small but only one sink. My biggest problem is no door separating bed area from living. Allowing parents no privacy. Pool is nice and large.
