Tidewater Golf Club & Plantation
For the vacation of a lifetime, Tidewater Golf Club and Plantation cannot be beat. Now you can golf, swim, work out in our health club, play tennis all within the tranquility of a private retreat: all just minutes from the beach. No trailers, boats or motorcycles allowed. Guests must be 21 or older to check in. If you arrive after 5 p.m. or find our offices closed, you will find an envelope with your name, unit #, map, keys and golf tickets (if applicable), located in the lock box at our entrance door. The code to open the box is 1-3-5. With its magnificent views of the Intra-coastal Waterway, saltwater marshes, Atlantic Ocean and undulating Bermuda grass greens: Tidewater has been called as pure as the ocean breezes that blow across it.

Privately owned condos
The Tidewater is a privately owned condo property.You can write a note in the guest book. We liked it because we just wanted a long weekend rather than a whole week and it was much roomier than even connecting hotel rooms. The Tidewater is tricky to find and at the very far north end of N.Myrtle. I think it is closer to North Carolina than Myrtle Beach! We were right on the golf course and loved our relaxed family time.
Traveler's tip
The kitchen was fully stocked but the bathrooms had only minimal towels and 1 bar of motel soap, so you need to bring all your shampoos/hair dryers etc. They did have a washer/dryer and a set of golf clubs!
