General Information
What to expect: An open air lobby featuring long low couches and South Pacific nautical décor steps down to the Boat Café, which opens up onto the hotel’s lush grounds. A pathway leads through the gardens, passing the hotel’s eight low-rise accommodation buildings, an animal-themed pool, 34 beached barge suites, and a lighthouse; culminating at the resort’s large ship-shaped pool and beachside restaurant, where the mostly European and American leisure guests relax.
Amenity highlights: The Imperial Boat House has a full service spa offering traditional Thai treatments and massages, a spa tub, and steam rooms. There are two pools, one surrounded by a tropical garden, and the other just steps from the sandy beach, which also offers good swimming in the calm, shallow water. Windsurfing and canoeing can be arranged on the beach, and the onsite diving centre offers SCUBA lessons in the pool for both children and adults. |

Insider tip: Choeng Mon Beach is perfect for swimming with a wide, sandy shoreline, and clear, shallow water. Entertainment for all ages can be found a few hundred metres down the beach, where jet skis and banana boats can be rented. A giant inflatable playground is anchored offshore.
Property Amenities
The Imperial Boat House Hotel has 210 Thai-style rooms. 34 are converted teak barges scattered through the gardens, and the remaining 76 are distributed throughout the eight three-storey buildings. There are two pools – one flanked by monkey fountains and the other shaped like a boat, complete with cannons and a crow’s nest. A day spa, dive centre, tailor, gift shop, and library are also onsite. Windsurfing, snorkeling, and sea-kayaking equipment is available free to hotel guests. |

Conference/function room(s): The property has five meeting rooms, four of which can be arranged as classrooms, theatres, or banquet halls. Choengmon 1 can accommodate up to 300 people, Choengmon 2 fits up to 200 people, and Choengmon 3 and 4 can accommodate up to 50 people each. The open air Sala is roofed, but has no walls. It caters for up to 200 people, and is not available in the classroom or theatre configuration. There is a total of 646 square metres (6,954 square feet) of conference space. Meeting rooms have podiums and stages, and offer table and standing microphones, amplifiers, equalisers, TV monitor multi-systems, VDO player multi- systems, slide projectors, overhead projectors, and drop screens.

The Imperial Boat House Hotel has a fitness room with strength training machines, free weights, and stationary bikes. A PADI Gold Dive Centre offers introductory SCUBA classes in the pool, as well as open water diver certifications, and a children’s introduction. Snorkelling, sea canoeing, and windsurfing equipment is available free of charge to guests. The garden swimming pool features monkey statues spurting streams of water into the pool, with an ornate elephant motif gate. The second, larger pool, is shaped like a pirate ship and flanked by water squirting cannons. There is also a games room with table tennis and snooker on site.
On Choeng Mon Beach, in front of the hotel, there are opportunities for water sports, including jet skiing and motor boating.
