Communication missing
Hotel was small, not very comfortable but very clean. When my wife called from the states, and was told I was not registered there. Since she booked the hotel on-line this was very upsetting. She called again in the late evening and the lobby desk was not available to her or to Expedia when they tried to investigate. Thank goodness my daughter was traveling with me!

Escape the Venice hustle and bustle
On our third trip to Venice, we decided to stay in a hotel on the island of Murano at Locanda Conterie, just a 10 minute vaporetto ride from the main island. (Get a public transportation pass at a Hello Venezia counter when you arrive!) The hotel is comfortable, clean and friendly and, compared with hotels in Venice proper, very reasonably priced. We enjoyed breakfasts on the open verandah. It is also an ideal starting point for exploring the Venetian art of glass making, which is centered on Murano. If you love artistic, hand-blown glass, it is the place to be. Dinner options on Murano are somewhat limited, but compared to Venice itself, an excellent deal. Try Lele di Torre at lunch or dinner for excellent seafood and pasta dishes. Of course, if you enjoy having dinner in the hustle and bustle of Venice, you can always take a late Vaporetto home to Murano after dinner.

great location for island Murano
Small attic room that only had a skylight for a window, and a small shower. The bed was two twin beds pushed together. It had a great location though, and was a nice place to stay. I would stay there again.
