Lovely Downtown Melbourne Hotel
This is an older style building that has a nice charm to it. It was clean and not too noisy despite being beside St Kilda Rd. The owners are lovely and very helpful. The room we booked was quite small (but would have been adequate) but since they had the space, they upgraded us to a larger room at no extra cost. The hotel is on the tram line and less than ten mins by tram to Downtown Melbourne or 15 mins to St Kilda pier. Chapel St shopping is also close by tram.
Traveler's tip on dining
There’s a coffee shop, a Subway, pizza & pasta restaurant right next door plus a couple of asian noodle places just up the road. The hotel also has it’s own small shop and the rooms have a bar fridge so you can store perishable items.

Not the Ritz but Great Stay while in Melbourne
I was looking for a no frills place to stay for a few nights in Melbourne. Albert Park Manor is centrally located steps from Chapel St, the Botanical Garden and busy downtown with good access to public transportation. I had a clean, spacious room with my own bathroom (although I booked with shared bathroom) and all the basic amenities. I enjoyed the friendly staff and recommend the hotel to anybody who is not looking for room service and in house spa!

Central location - quiet and comfortable hotel
A hotel which makes a nice change from the usual identikit rooms of the big chains. My room has a four-poster bed. The hotel is clean and well located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No restaurant but there are several adjacent places to get breakfast. A quiet retreat from the city.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Although slightly out of the city center there is a tram stop outside the hotel. Pick up a map in the foyer and you’ll find it an easy - and cheap - way to get around.
