In keeping with its class
The hotel is clean, modern, full-service, and in keeping with expectations for a four-star hotel. The rooms are decent-sized and newly furnished. I found the staff courteous and helpful. I had only one small problem: They do not provide an iron in the room. Maybe this is normal in Europe, but I would have expected one in a similar hotel in the US. Aside from this issue, the hotel was very accommodating. Its also well-located on the border between the new and old cities and near a park.

Bathroom
There was no shower gel in the bathroom for 3 days - during our entire stay - however we requested front desk for a refill. Other than that the hotel was fine.

Bad Service
The guys at the front desk were as rude as if I was not paying for the service. The guy with the weird mustache in particular doesnt know what is to work for a service company

Unsatisfied because of the parking
The parking is not easy available as some streets are closed. They should have a valet or someone to help getting to it. I arrived to the hotel and asked how to get to the parking, which was a labyrinth. They care less and instruct me to leave the car in a public parking. I had to carry my bags for two or three streets. They were not helpful with this and care less. About the spa I canceled my appointment for massage as the rest of the facilities were not accommodated. If I want to use the rest of the facilities "have to take" a circuit which I did not want. I only wanted to use the sauna after the massage, this IS NOT PERMITTED. Either you do it as they want or you cannot do it.

Posted: 16-Oct-08The parking is located in the same building. There is a lift witch connects directly with the rooms. Due to roadworks, the guest is sent throught a unusual way to reach the parking entrance. Fortunatelly, this situation will only last one month more....until then, It is our duty to explain how to get there in a easiest way, in witch we do our best to acomplish.

Great Place in the Heart of Madrd
This hotel was in a perfect location, central to many metro stops. The hotel itself was very nice and the room was lovely. I dont know if it was consistent with many of the rooms, but both the stand-up shower and the bath leaked water all over the floor. We were fortunate to have a courtyard room, so it kept much of the city noise to a minimum. If you were to get an outside room, although it might be noisy, on the higher floors the view is spectacular.

September 2007 2-night stay
We were very pleased. We were able to get into our room by noon. The staff was extremely accommodating. They gave good directions and good restaurant recommendations. We were especially pleased by how close it was to all we wanted to see. The parking arrangements went smoothly, although the garage is a bit difficult to get to, despite directions. Best not to have a large vehicle because of the tight quarters. Breakfast buffet was good. Finally, we had some intial difficulties with arrangements, not the fault of the hotel, but they always responded by e-mail quickly and helpfully.

week-end rate is an excellent value. it truly is only a short walk to the guggenheim
