More good than bad

This hotel is a little hard to find even with a GPS. We rode by it the first time without seeing the name on the hotel. The signs don’t jump out. Everything about the hotel was great except for the person on evening duty. He was less than helpful. Yes, I should have asked more questions, but sometimes you just don’t know what to ask. The hotel is in walking distance of the old city center if you go in the correct direction. I would stay here again with no problem.

Be sure to ask how to get to the city center before leaving the hotel.

Hard to find and hard beds

The hotel staff were very kind and friendly and did speak English fairly well. However, after a long flight, trying to locate this hotel was fairly difficult. We did try coming by city bus, so we didn’t exactly make things easy for ourselves. The location was very good- walkable to downtown plazas and great restaurants. The beds were quite hard and pillows were tiny and hard. We found this to be the case all over Spain, but for the price expected better from this one.

Nice rooms, great location, snotty staff

We chose this hotel for being close to the metro from the airport, and it is less than 1 block from the subway exit. We walked to the Picasso Museum, the street mall, and the Alcazaba. The rooms were very nice, good A/C, not loud, & our only "negative" is just that the night concierge when we arrived was a bit snotty. We had backpacks for luggage, and that was probably the reason. We were tired and would have appreciated a more friendly greeting. (When you exit the subway w/ the river on your left, turn around and walk 50 yds., you’re there.)

Traveler's tip on local attractions

1. The Oficina cafe next to the hotel has great fried egglplant with a honey sauce. Very unique. 2. See the Picasso Museum, it’s very well done and cool in the heat. 3. Meander over to the Alcazaba and walk through it. It’s on a hill, with great city views and old history. Ice cream on the way out!

Good for walking to the Center of the City

We stayed at this hotel just one night as we were flying out of Malaga in the early morning. The rooms were very clean and had the necessary amenities, and the desk staff were most helpful in directing us to local attractions. There is no parking, which might be inconvenient for a longer stay, but we arrived in the early evening, so we could park around the block on the street for free. The hotel is a bit hard to find but worth the effort. Within a few blocks are the center city shopping and restaurants.
