Original Raj Hotel

The Original Raj Hotel is the U.K's first Indian themed Hotel and was opened by Lady Shakira Caine in Spring 2000. All rooms are furnished with Indian hardwood furniture handmade in Jaipur from recycled Australian railway sleepers. All bedrooms are en-suite with both a bath and shower. The bedrooms are of a high standard. The Hotel is situated in the up-market Murrayfield area of Edinburgh, 1 mile west of the City Centre, on the A8 which leads to Edinburgh Airport and thence to Glasgow. We not have a private car-park but safe parking is available in streets adjacent to and behind the Hotel (Pay and Display Mon - Fri 8.30 am - 5.30 pm). We have no bar or restaurant but guests who bring their own are provided with glasses or plates and cutlery. Guests can order from the extensive menu of the well known Raj Restaurant on The Shore in Leith which delivers to the hotel (£2 delivery charge).
