First week in November, resort about 1/3 full. Works well in your favor, not at all crowded.

Anniversary Special!
Went here for our anniversary - was extremely enjoyable! Hotel was unique, staff accomodating and place was beautiful. We didn’t enjoy a few topless females on beach but we just went to the other end of beach! Shower on top floor was luke warm (warm at best) but refreshing when you got used to it. Tip: Take your own snorkel gear or at least some sanitizer for it - we were told by staff that they only cleaned them with water and sometimes soap. However, the snorkeling right at beach was fabulous so make sure that you try it! Evening shows left a little to be desired but did enjoy a few nights - otherwise not too much to do at night when the sun goes down if you aren’t into partying!

Amazing Catalonia Royal Tulum
Our expectations were high when we booked this all-inclusive resort for 14 nights. And, our expectations were met and exceeded in many ways. The setting, the hotel amenities, the food, the food, the food, and the staff were simply wonderful. Could we find things to complain about ? Sure ! But, overall, this was simply the best all-inclusive experience we have had in our many trips to the Caribbean. The beach has plenty of comfy lounge chairs, shade, and the softest powdery sand. The pool is huge. The pool bar and snack shack is right there within ’crawling distance’. I could go on, but I’m afraid others will discover this resort, it will be booked full, and we won’t be able to go back ! So, please stay away so that we can go back soon --- after I lose the 20 pounds gained from all of the fantastic food.
Go snorkeling off of the beach at the resort. Then try Akumal Bay, about a 15 minute taxi ride south of the resort, for the opportunity to see the colony of sea turtles and other colorful fish and coral there. There are many other attractions in the area ranging from cultural to archeological experiences. Or, just veg out at the resort and let the animation staff amuse you.
