Hotel Anna
Hotel Anna was an excellent choice, not only for the great service, helpful staff, and wonderful breakfast, but for its proximity to the train station, MarienPlatz, and Oktoberfest grounds. My wife did some shopping near the hotel and found items that she cannot get in the US.

very good hotel
The hotel was very nice, good breakfast,very helpful staff. It seemed a bit expensive, but it could just be Munich prices.

Quite expensive for a hotel with very little service
Even though Expedia lists this hotel as a 4 star hotel, it does not have doormen or porters to help you with your bags, there is no room service, and one of the elevators is so small the two of us could hardly get in together with our luggage. This is a no frills but comfortable hotel. The bed was comfortable and it was great that there was free wi-fi, but if you are used to amenities this is not the hotel for you. We checked out after only one night and switched hotels.
