Not impressed
The room was adequate but very stuffy. Hotel is plaged with gnats and other blood sucking insects. Other wise it is OK.

Excellent location, friendly staff
We opted to stay on the Bodensee (Lake Constance) as a cheaper alternative to Zurich, and the Mercure turned out to be a good choice. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was well equipped and in good condition. The buffet continental breakfast was not included in our Expedia rate but was well worth the 12 Euros per person. One of the biggest ranges of cold foods I have seen anywhere in Europe, and also a small selection of hot food.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Bregenz itself has a very attractive Fussgangerzone (pedestrian mall) which is only 500m from the hotel, and the hotel is also close to the boat wharf (cruise on Lake over to Lindau and Konstanz was well worth it).

Excellent hotel
I would stay there again and very nice park for children right next to the hotel.
