This hotel is a well kept secret.
The hotel is conveniently located in Marigot. It is on a main road, but it is directly on the water with oceanfront rooms that give a Caribean view that is about as beautiful as you can imagine. It is an easy walk to shopping at the Marigot market and wonderful stores in "downtown" Marigot. There are also great restaurants a short walk away in Marina Royale.It is within a 15 minute drive to great beaches (i.e. Rouge, Mullett, Maho, Long, Plum, Friars), the restaurants in Grand Case, and the night life of the Maho area. The famous beach of Orient Bay is within a 25 minute drive. If you like casinos the Princess is about a 5 minute drive away with another 2 casinos (Atlantis and Royale)within a 15 minute drive.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Take a walk to the Marigot waterfront and stop at one of the wonderful pastry shops (Serafina’s or La Sucriere), get coconut ice cream from the Coconut Man, take some pictures from Fort St. Louis, and walk around the breakwall around Fort St. Louis marina.

Great time in St. Martin
Best location, as we could walk to marina and all it had to offer with cafes, restaurants, shops and downtown Marigot. The private beach was beautiful!
Traveler's tip on dining
Be sure to eat at Le Village, a short walk from Hotel Beach Plaza - wonderful view overlooking the marina, great food, ambiance, and friendly service. We went back SEVERAL times!

Good hotel, not a 5 star resort...
The Hotel Beach Plaza doesn’t really have a "beach". It has a nice pool, but doesn’t have any umbrellas for shade. During my 5 day stay, the front desk was pretty helpful all in all. The room & bathroom was clean, the bed was a little hard for my liking. The location of central Marigot is good, you defianlty need a rental car tho! We drove to a few different beaches all within 20 mins of the hotel. The casinos on the Dutch side are about the same distance. The free breakfast is very good, lots of choices! If you get a "street side" room it can be noisy, I suggest putting your air conditioner on full blast to drown out the noise...
