The Lodge is an OK Hotel...Not Great...Not Bad

There are two sayings in life that are very true: 1) "If it seems to good to be true, it probably is." 2) "You get what you pay for." When I booked this hotel, I was under the impression that I was booking a room at the Mt. Washington Hotel. Although this hotel is part of the Mt. Washington Hotel Resort, it’s not the Mt. Washington Hotel. Instead, it’s across the street. However, you do have access to the beautiful Mt. Washington Hotel and can take advantage of it’s facilities. Also, there’s a shuttle that will pick you up at the Lodge and bring you to the Mt. Washington Hotel. The Lodge is not a 3-1/2 star hotel. I’d say it is 2 or 2-1/2 stars. It is now run by OMNI. It’s not up to the standards of the OMNI brand. The room was OK, but the TV, WI-FI, and coffee maker left much to be desired. There is a pool and sauna, but no restaurant. The view from the room’s patio is very nice. If you’re looking for a basic room for a good price, this hotel is OK.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There is lots of hiking available in the nearby White Mountains. Everywhere you drive in this area is beautiful. You can’t beat the views, especially during Fall Foliage season. Dining and shopping are available in nearby Littleton or Conway.
