Ready for Renovation
The motel was getting ready for a complete renovation, which I did not know. It was adequate to stay there for one night - and the price was right - but it needs a great deal of renovation. When I was ready to leave in the morning there was no one to be found at the front desk or office.

this was a dive
Lampshades were torn, the bedspread had burn holes in it, the bathroom was dingy, the refrigerator couldn’t even be plugged in...for the low price I still expected cleanliness. The manager told me, when I checked out early and could not get a refund, that she had put me in one of her worst rooms because I requested a "smoking" room. That meant I had a guy who left his TV on 24 hours a day on one side, and a woman with a barking dog on the other. It was worth losing my money just to get away from that place.
