New looking on the outside: old and wore inside
The hotel front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. As Im an early rise I requested coffee might get started earlier than 6:30, they complied for the two night we stayed there. The bathroom was dirty, hair on the floor and a brown water stain under the sink. The box spring had its stuffing sticking out and should have been replaced long ago. Saw the front desk staff doing the laundry and found out that there is no or little cleaning staff.

Typical lower priced motel
Advantages: Probably priced more cheaply than most hotels in Flagstaff. It is about 10 minutes from Flagstaff. It is nextdoor to a truckstop that has a McDonalds and Subway. The breakfast is typical for this type of hotel with cereal, bagels, coffee, etc. Staff was fine. Disadvantages: There are two stories but no elevator to the second floor so pack lightly as you will be carrying bags up a flight of stairs. It is located near a major highway and there is also a railroad track nearby so not that quiet. The place could use updating as far as carpet and furniture. The rooms are on the small side but mine had a refrigerator and microwave (not in all of them). If you want to iron clothes, they seemed to have difficulty locating the iron when we were there. Also, they initially gave a relative I was traveling with the room key to a room that was occupied. We were approached by a down-on-his luck gentleman asking for money (ETOH on his breath)in the enclosed entrance.

Check You Linens
This hotel is convienent as a place to stay if visiting the Grand Canyon but be sure to inspect your sheets and towels before you use them. One bed had stained sheets and a couple towels did as well. Comfortable with a good continental breakfast but make sure things are clean before you use them.
Traveler's tip on dining
There was one restaurant in the area and you can grill your own meat there. Good service, good food and a good time.
