Very freindly reception staff
We had three rooms - everyone was satisfied with the rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They did speak English. Gave us many tips. The location was within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Topkapi and the Grand Bazaar. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay.

Nice Hotel, Good location
This is a pleasant hotel. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice. The location is around the corner from all major sites and several small resturants.

Good location but consider somewhere else
You really cant complain about the Hotel Divas location: the Blue Mosque and other sights are a 5 to 10 minute walk. The hotel, unfortunately, isnt much to speak of. The staff was at times helpful but seemed confused. The rooms are tiny, and it was barely possible to fit in the tiny shower stall in our bathroom. Plumbing also seemed to be an issue, and while our room was cleaned each day, friends of ours who stayed at the hotel had to complain several times that their room was not cleaned. I thought the "full breakfast" meant hot food, but it was only dull cold cuts, cheese, lousy coffee and tang instead orange juice. Ultimately we were happy to be so close to all the sights, and there were friendly people on staff at the hotel. But we wish we had stayed at a nicer place.
Traveler's tip on shopping
In our opinion Americans will probably find Istanbul more expensive than they thought. We were shocked to find that the famous Turkish bath we were so looking forward to cost about US$60. A basic meal for dinner, including appetizer, entree, and a drink, will run about $20 to $30 at most places, though if you look hard you can find local places that charge less. Be prepared to spend more than you thought.
