Not a happy 40th anniversary.
Check in to a 4 star hotel, room card would not work, maids card did not work, consigeres card did not work, changed rooms, 2nd day stopper missing from tub, 3rd day safe combination did not work, 4th day room key card did not work. Whole time we were there a/c was shut off, but still running. 64 degrees the whole time, shower curtain ripped. Food was very expensive. We did manage to make the best of a bad situation, rented a car and traveled the island.
Shiggity Shack on Thursday night, get the lobster tail. Must see the fort, rent a car from Bullseye for a few days and travel the island, away from the hotel.

St. Kitts Surprise
The Marriott Resort in St. Kitts exceeded our expectations, specifically, a staff that cares about its customers, food quality and value. If you like a big resort with all the amenities, this place is for you. Note that our stay was during their slow time (August). We did not sample all of their restaurants or the casino. But would we go back? Absolutely!
Traveler's tip
Island time is alive and well on St. Kitts. Learn to live with it, slow down and relax. Good things come to those who wait.
