Shower not attached to the wall
My room was quite big and clean. Even the bath room was pretty big. But I guess it depends on the room. The other person I traveled with had a tiny room. The shower is not attached to the wall so you have to hold it while you wash your body and your hair and it gets pretty tiring. If you are traveling during winter, gotta fill the bath tub with hot water otherwise you will be freezing! The area is pretty convenient with a boulangerie right next door and 5 min walk to metro station.

Pleasant stay
very friendly staff, great location; hotel is very old, but clean. A little bit noisy street, ask for a courtyard room

Good cheap Paris stay
Good location with choices to several metro lines. Very friendly and helpful staff. Older hotel with clever paintings on elevators and doors. Room small for 3 people, no view. Good safe in room. Bathroom small but modern and clean. Only negative was occasional smell of gas in bathroom.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Get a metro pass to save time and have the most freedom to explore. Get a museum pass to avoid standing in long lines (kids under 16 (possibly 18) have free museum entry and will not need a pass). Check ahead of time for closures! Expect to walk a lot, and Paris has many stairs.
