airport to hotel is 1.95 Euro and an hour on the metro with one change- easy. Clip symbol is a paperclip and is on the side of the hotel. Not immediately visible from the station but just head South and there it is. Staff attentive, bathrooms small, free breakfast is very well done. Half hour walk to old town or quick metro run.

Cliphotel Gaia Porto
Its name is confusing, since it sounds as if its in Porto, when in fact its in Gaia. But the Cliphotel is not badly placed. Its right along the metro line, as well as the Porto tourist busline, and several metro-buslines. The hotel is modern and clean, and efficiently run. The breakfasts (included in rm charge) are near excellent. But the rooms are smallish, the bathrooms are tiny, barely adequate and cheaply appointed. The elevators are also small.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Ask the hotel Mgt about free tix to the Vinho Caves; if you get the tourist bustix, ask the bus driver about that too, they all give them out. Grahams was our favorite by far; they provide free packaging for your purchases.

basic comfort, clean, convenient
This hotel is not luxurious, but is a very good value. The bathroom is small, a shower stall with a curtain around it and there arent a lot of extra comforts in the room. But it is very clean and well-kept and the beds were just fine. Breakfast was quite good and the hotel is very well located with a metro stop across the street and the large El Corte Ingles department store right next door that sells just about everything. We parked the car for 6 Euro a night and were very satisfied with the price we got. We ended up staying an extra night and got an even better price. We would definitely stay there again.
