All My Hotels Need to be like this one
I have stayed at the Marriott Courtyards in the past, as they are the high level of quality for the price. This one had some extras I really liked: 1) A grand piano in the lobby which you can play (it is also a player piano, if you dont play) 2) Donut holes and coffee in the lobby all day. 3) Lemonade come out in the afternoon and then popcorn in the late afternoon. 4) Buffet is a little pricy, but it is California. However, the best omletes I have ever been served. Our room was off by itself, so very quiet. The room had everything we needed, including a refrigerator (look behind the cabinet doors or you may miss it).
Traveler's tip on dining
1) Fishermans Warf, Pier 39, Fog Harbor restaurant has the best Dungeness Crab dinner. Includes full crab, Potato and veggies with a great view with a cloth covered tablecloth/fireplace type of setting. 2) Get away from the city and enjoy Half Moon Bay (north on 101 and West on 92). Go to Crab Landing restaurant for view, Dungeness Crab and Lobster Thermador.

Leaky toilet in room
Our stay was disturbed by the toilet in our bathroom leaking sewer water. We awoke to a stinking room in the morning. Needless to say we could not take a shower in the morning. When we complained the front desk boy as we called him he did not do much to fix the problem. Untill we asked to talk to the manager who mailed us a room comp.I was dissappointed also because it was not as close to the shoreline as it says it is. It cost us $20 to take a cab there. But it was still better than driving there ourselves I guess.

Convenient hotel, noisy aircon
These days there are a lot of good deals in the Bay Area. This one is a good hotel just a bit south of Palo Alto / Stanford. My room was excellent except that there was a very noisy air conditioner in the hallway right outside my door.
