I like this hotel but.....
This was my 2nd stay at the hotel, the 1st being 3 years ago when it was quite new. What I noticed was that from the outside the wood panels are weatherbeaten and give the impression of the building looking worn and tired. Inside however it continues to be a bright reception / bar / resto area which I liked. The room was comfy - all mod cons - only complaint here was the window vent which gave a draught. The restaurant however was the most disapponting. We had a lunch for 9 people and the service was very slow with meals arriving at various intervals. Food overall was good but would think twice about eating here again.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The hotel is very placed to gain access to Dundde’s waterfront. The Unicorn Ship is docked nearby and there are nice walks along the river (or runs - we ran over the Tay Bridge for our morning jog!). The city centre is no more than a 10 minute walk so no need to take the car shopping or to go explore the bars and restaurants.

Excellent place to stay - comfortable and reasonable. Staff was very nice and always ready to help.
Traveler's tip on dining
Indian restaurant about 200 yards from the Hotel has excellent food. Biggest surprise was the Domino’s Pizza nextdoor to the hotel - better than the one’s we get state-side
