Super 8 Goleta/Santa Barbara
The hotel is easily accessible from airport and freeway. The staff were friendly and helpful; it seems safe and secure to me, with sufficient parking close to the rooms; all the equipment in the room worked, and the free wireless internet signal was strong and easily accessed. It was a good value in an expensive city.

Could be cleaner
Carpet in room very dirty. Spa pool very dirty and cloudy.

Cheaper but not cheap
It took me long to find a place to stay in Santa Barbara (I was working at UCSB for a week) of reasonable price. Super 8 Motel is a fair deal, but only if you compare it with the other lodging possibilities of SB. The room was ok in size and the breakfast was ok, if you don’t expect too much. I had the room in the direction of the airport, but yet it wasn’t noisy. It takes 40 minutes walking to get to UCSB and less than 5 minutes to get to the next bus stop. By bus you need about 40 minutes to get downtown (1.25$).

I have liked the natural cafè very much. It is located within walking distance to the motel and in SB downtown (State st).
