As expected for the price
This was much as I would expect from a Super 8. Everything was adequate, but nothing was great. Someone’s leftover take-out was in my fridge, but at least there was a fridge! My wake-up call didn’t come, and the continental breakfast is a joke -- don’t count on it. Nonetheless, it was minutes from the campus and felt perfectly safe for a woman traveling alone.

Great hotel staff; Clean rooms.
When I arrived, the hotel check-in was quick, and the room was clean and in great shape. There were some noise problems with the air conditioner, but the hotel staff/manager were so nice and polite, and they immediately moved us to another room. The hotel staff also offered to let the person accompany me stay well-beyond check-out time, until I was done with my events for the day. The breakfast provided in the morning consisted of free coffee, orange juice, muffins and fruit - and they were all extremely fresh and tasted great. It was a really nice place to stay, given the stress of the business trip I was in East Lansing for, and it was only a short distance to the Breslin Center, and the attractions of East Lansing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Of course it wasn’t the nicest hotel that I had ever stayed in, but considering the great staff and the price, it couldn’t be beat.

YUCKY!!
Room had odor of urine or death masked by pinesol. Hotel needs some major renovations.

Yuck
The place really looked dumpy inside and out. Beds did not have fitted sheets and were not made correctly. Rooms were not soundproof at all, loud traffic noise and footsteps from guests upstairs. It was inexpensive, but I’ll pay a little more next time I stay in E. Lansing. Even if it is just after a football game.

ok
Hotel was ok if you just want some plave to crash for the night. Do not expect any sort of breakfast though. Continental breakfast consisted of 2 bagels and about 5 muffins on a paper plate.

Cheap Stay
It was a very afordable comparatively to other hotels in the area. It was what I expected for the price. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and everything worked, it was just in need of maintenance.

Low Price, modest quality
The staff was accomodating, the room was OK, but the overall maintenance of the hotel was poor. It can serve as a cheap place to stay for a night.

Under Remodel
This motel had numberous problems starting with the tv remote. 2 TVs in the room only 1 worked. The bathroom was a mess with wallpaper falling off the walls and no or broken putty around the sink and Bath tub.

Not nice at all
The room was gross and the people working at the motel were creepy. It said there was free wireless internet and there was no internet at all. My room was on the first floor and door was not secured very well to the door frame so I had to prop a chair up under the door handle to make sure no one could get in. All in all it was not a pleasant experience. I would not go back to this motel or suggest it to others.

Room served our need
The room was acceptable condition. The bed was very uncomfortable and top blanket smelled. The bathroom was a disaster. The water from the shower didn’t spray properly, the tub was chipping and backing up and as a result we had to wear water shoes to take a shower.
Traveler's tip
We were just there to visit Michigan State University. We spent both days touring the University and only about 8 hours at the hotel.

Not where you want to stay.. ever.
This is not a place you would want to stay. It is run down and had the worst mattress I have ever sleep on.

Not Impressed
The hotel staff was very personable but the rooms were in very poor condition. Especially the bathrooms,there were missing tiles and it did not look very clean. The mattress on the bed was very old and saggy. Also there were gaps in the door to the outside and it was very drafty. There were also insects in the room. Unless this hotel recieves a complete overhaul I would not suggest it to anyone. I was very disappointed as the other motel 8’s that I have ever stayed in were always clean and well kept.
